TWCA falls in finale

The Woodlands Christian Academy suffered a tough TAPPS district defeat Friday night at Warrior Stadium.

The Warriors were tied with Galveston O’Connell 14-14 in the final minute before allowing a touchdown with 53 seconds remaining. TWCA then drove the ball from its 20 to the O’Connell 20 before time ran out.

The Warriors finished in fourth in district but still made the playoffs. The opponent is to be determined.

Quarterback Troy Williams passed for 197 yards and threw a 22-yard scoring pass to Jordan Bruce and also had a 22-yard scoring run.
