Hightower High School Medical Academy student honored by Houston mayor

Hightower High School senior, Mahak Saad, was recently honored by Houston Mayor Bill White in recognition of her academic achievements.
A national honor student, Saad attends Hightower’s Medical Science Academy and has received numerous awards and honors throughout her high school career, Saad also has received awards at various Health Occupation Students of America and Future Business Leaders of America national and state competitions.
She served as a medical intern at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and the Veterans Hospital in the area of cardiovascular surgery.
The Fort Bend ISD student hopes to complete her advanced medical internship rounds at the Texas Heart Institute.
