College of the Mainland (COM) in Texas City has signed an articulation agreement with Texas Chiropractic College (TCC) of Pasadena, Texas that allows students pursuing a doctor of chiropractic degree (DC) to complete as many as 90 college credits in science and core curricula at COM, then transfer to TCC to complete its chiropractic degree program. Dr. Richard G. Brassard, president of TCC and Dr. Michael Elam, COM president, signed the agreement during COM’s regular October Board of Trustees meeting October 26.

The fourth oldest of all chiropractic colleges in the U.S., TCC www.txchiro.edu was founded more than a century ago in San Antonio, Texas. With a strong emphasis on high admission standards, TCC established itself as an innovator through programming that included anatomical instruction by dissection, laboratory instruction in pathology, and training in x-ray and dietary interventions. In 1965, due to substantial growth, TCC moved from San Antonio to Pasadena, Texas.

College of the Mainland www.com.edu is a comprehensive community college serving mainland Galveston County. Located in Texas City and with Learning Centers in League City and La Marque, COM serves approximately 4,000 credit students and 10,000 continuing education students. The College was founded in 1966.
