The Lady Bears knew they would be in for a challenge when they played Buda Hays in the opening round of the Class 4A state volleyball playoffs but they weren’t going to back down.

“I knew with the adrenaline of the playoffs that we were going to have to play up,” Montgomery coach Terri Wade said. “Everyone picks up their intensity of play in the playoffs so I knew we would have to raise ours as well and we did that.”
