Tidelanders offer July 12 show

The Houston Tidelanders Chorus will perform a 4 p.m. show at The First United Methodist Church in Conroe July 12.
This free concert is followed by gourmet desserts provided by the United Methodist Women.
Dessert tickets are $10. Children 12 and under eat free.
Proceeds benefit local missions including the Fairway/BridgeWay Home, Meals On Wheels, Children’s Safe Harbor, Montgomery County Women’s Center and the FUMC Methodist Day School.
The concert is sponsored by FIRST CHURCH & FRIENDS and ExxonMobil.
The Houston Tidelanders Chorus is the performing chorus of the 30,000-man Barbershop Harmony Society’s Houston Chapter. They are an a cappella, i.e. unaccompanied, men’s singing organization comprised of quartets and a large performing chorus. They are a nonprofit organization, chartered in 1946. There are more than 825 BHS chapters in the United States.
Membership is broad-based, ranging in age from 14 to 78, representing the ethnic and cultural diversity of the Greater Houston community, and including every occupation imaginable. With the exception of the Musical Directors who receive modest stipends for their musical talents, all of the members are volunteers.
