St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School

Eighth-grader Chris Calhoun received a $1,000 scholarship to attend St. Pius X High School for having top scores on the high school entrance exam.

John Cooper School

“LIFE! A Celebration of Dance” will take place on the Glenn Family Main Stage in The John Cooper School Performing Arts Center at 2 p.m. May 16 and 17. The $10 admission fee will go toward contributions to Operation Helping Everyone Achieve Recovery Together, a relief project for Galveston Independent School District schools, and to the Central Asia Institute to assist schools overseas.

Interfaith Child

Development Center

The Interfaith Child Development Center is accepting scholarship applications for the 2009-10 school year. The “Helping Hand” scholarships are intended to help families in need with tuition costs.

Children 2 years old through fourth grade living in Interfaith of The Woodlands’ service area are eligible for the needs-based scholarship.

Both partial and full tuition scholarships are available. The application deadline is May 1. Call (281) 292-3617.
