CL Chamber auctions Red Adair painting

The Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce began a 10-day Ebay auction Dec. 18 of a painting of Red Adair that was donated to the chamber.

The painting  depicts Adairs years of firefighting in the oil fields in Texas and around the world.  


The item number on Ebay is 170288422635. The listing is under Collectibles/Historical Memorabillia/Firefighting & Rescue/Other. 


Adair is known for controlling oilwell fires and blowouts. Through Red Adair Co. he oneered the development of modern-day effective Wild Well Control techniques and equipment and earned his reputation as "best in the business." 


He and other members of his firefighting team averaged controlling more than 42 oilwell fires and blowouts per year, inland and offshore, all over the world. 


He and his men represented over a century of Wild Well Control and expertise, completing more 1,000 jobs internationally.
