Editor’s note: The Villager routinely runs a summary of reports on area restaurant inspections by the Montgomery County Health Department Environmental Health Services. The department routinely performs food establishment inspections twice per year, or more often if the inspection report was bad resulting in numerous demerits or a complaint was filed. Below are all establishments that received no demerits, plus establishments each week that received the most demerits.

Restaurants with no demerits:

Wolfies Restaurant and Sports Bar - 25550 I-45 North, Spring

Country Time BBQ and Fixings - 25330 Richards, Spring.

3B’s Burgers and Beer - 466 Rayford Road Ste 107, Spring

Good Fortune Club - 25170 I-45 North Ste 6, Spring

Margarita’s Mexican Restaurant - 1027 Loop 336 North, Conroe

Restaurants with the most demerits:

Tortilla Rio Verde - 2017 North Frazier Ste G6, Conroe - 8 demerits - four demerits were given for unapproved labeling of products, four demerits were given for cross contamination of raw foods.

Hartz Chicken Buffet - 25310 I-45 North, Spring - 9 demerits - three demerits were given for unapproved disposal system, three demerits were given for uncalibrated thermometers, three demerits were given for unsanitized food contact surfaces.

Taqueria Jalisco - 1108 Loop 336 West Ste L, Conroe - 13 demerits - five demerits were given for improper cold/hold temperatures, four demerits were given for cross contamination of raw meats, for demerits were given for unapproved HACCP plans.
