Sheriff Tommy Gage’s Office, District 3, reported the following incidents for the period of Dec. 29 through Jan. 4:

On Dec. 30, Deputy J. Walker was dispatched to a suspicious vehicles call in the 17600 block of White Oak Dr. One of the vehicles was occupied by a male and a female. As the deputy was interviewing the pair, the male fled on foot with the deputy giving chase. Deputies C. Curry and C. Evans arrived and assisted. The male was detained after a short chase. The 27-year-old male from Conroe was arrested and charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, failure to identify and evading detention. The 32-year-old female from Willis was arrested and charged with public intoxication.

On Jan. 2, Deputy S. Ortiz stopped a vehicle in the 24600 block of FM 1314 on a traffic violation. The male driver was asked to step out of the vehicle and the deputy noticed he was limping and asked the male if he was concealing anything on his person and the male replied that he had a pistol and it had slipped down his pants leg. The male advised there were other weapons in the vehicle and was detained. The deputy located a sawed-off shotgun and a .22 caliber rifle. The deputy also located methamphetamine, crack pipes and a scale. The 23-year-old male from Montgomery was arrested and charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, unlawful carrying of a weapon by a felon and possession of a controlled substance.

The Precinct 4 Constable Rowdy Hayden’s Office reported no incidents for this period due to changes in administration.
