Police blotter

The following are the police reports for Dec. 7-15. All information is obtained directly from the police reports. This is a condensed version of those facts.

Dec. 7, 2008

• Officer Kevin Potter arrested George Flores for Resisting Arrest, Public Intoxication and Assault by Contact (C) after an incident at Papa Ro’s in Cleveland.

• Officer Kevin Cooke was dispatched to the 200 block of E. First St. after a person complained that someone had thrown eggs at their vehicle.


Dec. 8, 2008

• Officer Kevin Cooke was dispatched to the 800 block of S. Washington Ave. to a reported assault. The complainant told police that they had been physically assaulted. The case is under investigation.

• Patrol Captain Darrel Broussard was dispatched to the 700 block of W. Southline St. after a person said he had been attacked while talking on a pay phone.

• Officer Jake Ladwig arrested Terri Enriquez, 30, of Livingston was arrested and charged with Driving Without a Valid License and for Driving Without Proof of Insurance.

• Officer Chad Whitten was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Hanson St. to a report of criminal trespass. The complainant told police that someone had kicked in the door of an apartment. No arrest was made at the time. The case is under investigation.

Dec. 9, 2008

• Officer James Primeaux was dispatched to the 300 block of N. Washington St. after it was reported that someone had stolen wheels valued at $1,200.

• Officer Paul Lowrey was dispatched to the 100 block of Rodgers St. after a laptop computer was reported stolen from a home.

Dec. 10, 2008

• Officer Tommi Ashmore arrested Jason Antoine Brown, 27, of Coldspring for public intoxication.

• Officer Paul Lowrey was dispatched to the 1500 block of E. Houston St. after $30 was reported stolen.

• Officer James Primeaux was dispatched to the 100 block of Lamar St. after an assault was reported.

Dec. 11, 2008

• Detective Harry Kelley was dispatched to the 500 block of E. Houston St. after a merchant complained that he was given an “inappropriate check.” The person who gave him the check made restitution for the debt and no charges were filed.

Dec. 12, 2008

• Officer Kevin Cooke was dispatched to the 1600 block of E. Houston St. after a staff member of Cleveland ISD complained after being hit by a car. The man said he had been hit by the car when he tried to stop a student from leaving campus. The case is under investigation.

• Officer Jake Ladwig arrested Lena Lane, 43, and a 17-year-old female relative on assault charges after they reportedly got into an argument with another person at the Wal-Mart pharmacy. The third person was not charged for her part.

Dec. 13, 2008

• Officer Bluford Blankenship arrested Henry L. Daniels Jr., 25, and Ashley Raquel Washington, 20, both of Shepherd on charges of Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest. The report states that the two were fighting in a car in the Wal-Mart parking lot. A child who was with the two was taken into protective custody and sent to Cleveland Regional Medical Center for medical evaluation.

• Officer Kevin Cooke met with a man in the police department lobby regarding an e-mail he received from an alleged hit man. The e-mail said that the complainant was a target to be killed by the hit man, but that the hit man would not kill him if he paid him $4,000. The case is under investigation. • Officer Steven Hodges arrested Arthur Ellis, 24, of Cleveland for Disorderly Conduct.

• Officer Spencer Templeton arrested Kimberly Dawn Gradney, 19, of Livingston on a charge of Attempted Theft.

• Officer Kevin Potter was dispatched to the 100 block of S. Washington St. to investigate a report of disorderly conduct.

Dec. 14, 2008

• Officer James Primeaux arrested a 12-year-old female for Injury to an Elderly Person after she allegedly struck her great-grandmother with a flashlight and shoved her down. The girl has been sent to a juvenile facility.

• Officer Steven Hodges issues a citation to Thomas Luckey Jr. for parking in a handicapped parking space without displaying a proper placard.

• Officer Steven Hodges met with a female complainant at the police department lobby regarding an assault that is alleged to have taken place in Samuel Wiley Park.

Dec. 15, 2008

• Officer James Primeaux was dispatched to the 800 block of US 59 regarding a theft of diapers and baby wipes. A woman said her ex-boyfriend had taken the items and fled the scene. He is identified only as “Cedric” in the report. No arrest was made at the time. Later that day, Primeaux was called out to the woman’s residence on the 300 block of Helen St. after she reported that “Cedric” had broken into her house and stolen a TV, laptop computer and other items.
