Republican women’s group elects new officers
By Submitted Article
Northwest Forest Republican Women (NWFRW), one of the largest Republican Women’s groups in Texas, is starting 2009 with a new slate of officers and the promise of many very interesting luncheon meetings in the months to come.
In the lead as president is Sue Ann Lurcott; Pauline Adams is 1st VP; Rose Marcantel, 2nd VP; Cindy Doyle, 3rd VP; Jane Egner, Treasurer; Bobbie Lupa, Political Action Committee Treasurer; Beverly Johnson, Recording Secretary; Barbara Hine, Corresponding Secretary.
The swearing in ceremony was held at the Dec. 8 meeting with the State Representative Patricia Harless (R-TX 126) doing the honors. Also at that meeting, the group continued its tradition of donating teddy bears and other stuffed animals to the nine Harris County Family District Courts. Judge Georgia Dempster attended the meeting and later delivered the stuffed animals to her associates.
This group of Republican women is known for its concerned interaction with and for the northwest community. They welcome new members with their new ideas and talents. Membership is an excellent way to get to know our community and political leaders and their hopes and plans for the future. For more information, contact Louise at 281-259-7473.
