Pearland Police Action

MVA-Fatality

Jan. 1 – An Hispanic man was traveling southbound in the 16100 block of SH 288 and left the roadway striking a barrier. The vehicle began to rotate and struck a large roadway sign and while inverted, struck a metal transtar pole on the driver’s door. The driver died on the scene.

Criminal Mischief


Dec. 30 – A series of incidents occurred in the 2400 block of Dixie Woods, Piney Woods, the 2500 block of Crane and the 1500 block of Fallen Oak. Victims reported that someone broke the driver side window on several vehicles in the middle of the night. In one instances, it appeared the window was broken by a BB gun or a similar object.

Dec. 31 – An unknown suspect vandalized the toilet and walls of a men’s bathroom in the 3200 block of Mclean.

Jan. 1 -- A man was denied access to a house party in the 7300 block of Northfork and later returned to bust out the complainant’s front driver and rear driver’s side window.

Jan. 2 – A suspect shot an arrow through a garage door located in the 3200 block of Churchill.

Possession of Marijuana

Dec. 30 – Two women were stopped for expired vehicle registration in the 8400 block of Broadway and were found to be in possession of a stolen vehicle. The driver was arrested for driving while license suspended and the passenger for possession of marijuana.

Possession of a Controlled Substance

Jan. 1 – A woman was charged with possession of a controlled substance following an inventory search of her property inside the Pearland Jail following a prisoner pickup and transport to the jail, located in the 2700 block of Veterans Drive.

Burglary of a Vehicle

Dec. 30 – Known suspects burglarized a vehicle in the 4600 block of Leyland. A wallet was taken and several credit cards were used.

Jan. 2 – A complainant stated that her vehicle was broken into in the 2100 block of Limrick. Entry was gained by breaking the front driver side window and her purse was stolen.

Jan. 3 – An amplifier was stolen from the trunk of a vehicle in the 11200 block of Broadway.

Jan. 4 – An unknown suspect burglarized a vehicle in the 11100 block of Broadway and stole a GPS unit that was mounted on the windshield.

Theft

Dec. 31 – Unknown suspects entered a construction site in the 6700 block of Fite and stole copper pipes, valves and miscellaneous fittings.

Jan. 1 – A suspect was caught shoplifting while at Dillards, located in the 11200 block of Broadway.

Jan. 1 – A victim reported that someone stole her purse while it was unattended in the 11200 block of Broadway.

Jan. 4 – A purse containing two cell phones, credit card and debit card, as well as Nintendo gaming system were taken in the 1000 block of Main.

Public Lewdness

Jan. 1 – Two men were observed buy a citizen having sexual intercourse on the grass area of a community lake in the Shadow Creek Ranch subdivision, located in the 11800 block of Crescent Cove.

Burglary of a Coin Operated Machine

Jan. 2 – An unknown suspect broke into the bill receiver on a soda machine at a grocery store located in the 2800 block of Business Center Drive, and stole all the money.

Jan. 2 – An unknown suspect attempted to break into a coin-operated machine located in the 3300 block of Broadway.

Burglary of a Habitation

Jan. 2 – An unknown suspect forced entry into a residence located in the 5800 block of Little Grove and removed a TV.
