While many view the coming of a new year as a time to sit back, catch a breath and plan for the upcoming year, a slew of activities are already in line for the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce.
The first few months of the year start off slowly with the January monthly membership luncheon. The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church.
February should be a big month for the chamber with the annual Business Expo Luncheon to be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Pasadena Convention Center.
Precinct 2 County Commissioner Sylvia Garcia, who represents Pasadena among numerous other communities in the east Harris County, will present her annual state of the county address on March 12. Also at the luncheon, Pasadena’s Industry of the Year will also be unveiled. The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hilton-Hobby Airport in Houston.
On the heels of Garcia’s presentation, Pasadena Mayor Johnny Isbell is scheduled to deliver his state of the city address on April 16 at First United Methodist Church. Also on tap at the luncheon is the unveiling of the small business of the year.
Rounding out the initial calendar of the events for the chamber is the May 14 luncheon at First United Methodist Church wherein the city’s artist of the year will be announced.
