Art you can taste
For those whose art is more culinary than visual, the Official Texas State Arts and Craft Fair is offering a new opportunity.
Any culinary artist offering specialty foods packaged in a certified kitchen is encouraged to apply to sell his/her products at the Fair held each Memorial Day Weekend, May 23-25.
“This is an exciting new addition to the fair. The culinary arts are more popular than ever and we want to keep up with the times and give our fair goers new adventures,” stated Penni Carr, Executive Director of Texas Arts and Crafts Educational Foundation, producers of the Official Texas State Arts and Crafts Fair. “We are looking for ‘made in Texas’ specialty foods that can be purchased at the Fair for offsite consumption.”
Thousands come from across the State and beyond for the entertainment, art demos, and to see the works of 200-plus Texas Artists each year at the Fair.
Culinary Artists wanting to get in on the latest addition to the Fair, may go to www.theartoftexas.com for more information and an application.
