Forget the tux and ball gown and trade up for a team jersey
Tomball chamber of commerce hosting tailgate party during 2009 Chairman’s Ball
By ALLEN JONES
This year’s dress for the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce Chairman’s Ball is a little more casual than last year. Leave the tux and gowns at home and grab team jerseys Friday, Jan. 30, for the business networking organization’s tailgate-themed party.
Tickets and sponsorships are available for the 2009 Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce Chairman’s Ball, to be held at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center, 1601 Lake Robbins Dr.
The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception honoring the recently named Citizen of the Year, Mary Harvey. The Tomball city councilwoman and owner of Granny’s Korner was surprised by a nominating committee for her volunteer efforts within and outside the chamber.
The party will also honor the chamber’s incoming chairman, Kathleen Scott.
Individual “sideline” tickets are available for $65.
Ten-person table sponsorships range from the $1,000 World Cup to the $2,500 Super Bowl level. A World Series table is available for $1,750. Each table sponsorship level comes with its own complementary appreciation packages such as recognition in the ball’s program or bottles of wine.
Those looking for a creative way to market their business to hundreds of chamber members may want to consider decorating a table at this event, said Faye Drennan, the GTACC’s special events coordinator.
“Think football, baseball, soccer, whatever your favorite sports,” she said. “If you are not the creative type, don’t worry. We have creative types ready to brainstorm and help you with suggestions. Your table can be silly, formal, and fun, whatever you choose. Don’t forget, advertise your business.”
To reserve seating, call the chamber at 281-351-7222. To order tickets online, visit www.tomballchamber.org.
