Woodlands Ladies Club makes a donation

Between The Woodlands Ladies Club’s last two monthly meetings the organization has donated a table full of canned goods and a table full of toys to help the needy.

At their November meeting at Augusta Pines, members brought non perishable food items for Interfaith of The Woodland’s food pantry. On Dec. 10, their table full of toys was donated to the Montgomery County Women’s Center.

Their program was followed by Musician Jennifer Grassman who sang Christmas music and other favorites.

Suzanne Donaldson, publicity said the women try to make donations during Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. Donaldson said their purpose is to help people who are not as fortunate as they are.

“We’ve all been very blessed and want to share in any way we can,” said Suzanne Donaldson. “We particularly like to help mothers who were abused and mothers and children without a home. That is particularly what we try to reach out for.”

Donaldson said the club is open to members from all around the area, with the only requirement being a $25 membership fee.

The January meeting will be held on Jan. 14. For more information contact Donaldson at 281-516-9792 or Patsy Davis at 281-363-1941.
