The Sugar Land Aces won their division in the Southwest Houston USTA Jr. Team Tennis League this fall and then went undefeated at the Houston area Regionals held at Homer Ford Tennis Center on Nov. 15 to win their Division for the Houston area. Registrations under way for youth flag football in Katy

It’s open season on fun! i9 Sports® is now accepting registrations for youth Flag Football in the Katy area, which will begin Feb. 21.

Registrations will be accepted until Jan. 25. Full program details and registration information can be found at www.i9sports.com or by calling 281-398-PLAY (7529).

The program for boys and girls ages 4-14 welcomes all skills levels.


“There are no tryouts and everyone is given the opportunity to make the most of their abilities,” explained Denny Daniels, the Katy i9 Sports Program Director.

i9 Sports has gained national recognition for its fresh approach to organized sports. Participants can expect professional management of all program details, certified officials at every game, round the clock access to league information, standings, and team news on the company’s website, and most importantly, a program that places greater value on fun than the score.

"People have been amazed at the organization, convenience, and fun of our programs,” said Denny Daniels. Our Flag Football League rosters fill up quickly, so we encourage everyone who is interested to sign up immediately to secure a spot."

Two Clements athletes sign letters of intent

Two Clements High School athletes have signed letters of intent to compete in Division I college athletics.

Dani Yoho signed to swim at Fresno State and Brandon Wood signed to play baseball at Texas A&M.

Elkins golf tourney set for Dec. 5

The Elkins Knights baseball club will host a golf tournament Dec. 5, benefiting the baseball program.

The team’s baseball field and facility suffered extensive damage from Hurricane Ike. All of these items were purchased with money raised through the baseball program over the last 16 years.

The tournament is being held at Sienna Plantation Golf Course and will include a round of golf, lunch and door prizes.

Tournament organizers are seeking sponsors as well. All sponsors names will be prominently displayed at the event on the Sponsor Board and at the sponsored course site.

Donations are accepted through the 501 (c)(3) which may be tax deductible. This also applies to auction items acquired through area businesses. Other donations are needed s for door prizes, food, and drinks. Donors will be recognized on our Donor Board.

MC Little League early registration remains open

Missouri City Little League Baseball is conducting early registration for the spring season until the end of the year.

Visit the league’s website at www.missouricityll.org to register online or download a form to mail or drop off at a registration site.
