In celebration of Christmas, Sugar Land First United Methodist Church will host a musical series each Sunday service until Christmas day.
The “Let it Be Christmas” series will focus on the Christmas story as told by Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and feature a different set of Beatles songs adjusted to fit the season performed by Dr. Gilbert’s Loving Bible Club Band. Band members include: Jeff Jackson, Steve Pfugfelder, Craig Gilbert, Richard Fish and Jay Harris.
The services will revolve around the idea Christmas as a story of revolution.
“When the world was crying out for change, a peaceful revolution was born. A tiny babe was born in a lowly manger and the world was changed forever,” the church said in a release.
The series will begin Sunday, Nov. 30 and last until Sunday, Dec. 24. Sunday Worship services are at 9 a.m. and 11:15. Christmas Eve Services will be at 5:00, 7:00, 9:00 and 11:00. For more information, visit http://www.sugarlandmethodist.org.
