Constable Pct. 4 crime reports for Nov. 22 to Nov. 24
Teen charged with assaulting sister, police
On Nov. 22, Pct. 4 Deputies Walker, Rogers, Westmoreland, and Lee responded to a call of a family disturbance in the 15700 block of Randall Ridge Drive where a teenager was arrested for reportedly striking his sister in the face.
Once in the patrol car, he managed to maneuver his handcuffs in front of him and began kicking the window glass.
When deputies opened the car door, Rogers was kicked in the face.
The 18-year-old was removed from the car and began struggling with the deputies. During the struggle, a second deputy received a slight injury to his wrist.
The boy was re-secured with handcuffs and leg restraints, then placed back into the vehicle. Charges of Assault and Assault on a Peace Officer were accepted by the District Attorney’s office for Erick Muscleman.
Father charged with child abandonment
On Nov. 23, Pct. 4 Deputy Abdullah responded to a call of child abandonment in the 13000 block of Jones Road.
The complainant said a man dropped off a 6-year-old and an 8-year-old boy at a restaurant, then left.
The man, later identified as the father of the children, did not return for four hours.
Deputies were able to get enough information from the children to locate an uncle who was given custody of the children by children’s protective services.
Police arrested father Gustavo Lara, 36, who was charged with child abandonment and endangering a child.
Insurance card a fraud
On Nov. 24, Precinct 4 Deputy Quintanilla stopped a traffic violator in the 100 block of the North Sam Houston Parkway.
On examining the driver’s license and insurance card, Quintanilla felt that something was not quite right with the insurance card.
A call to the insurance company confirmed that the driver was not a customer and that the card had been forged.
Driver Felicia Nervis, 37, was arrested and charged with forgery of a government document.
