City to present data on Main Street revitalization

Updated: 12.04.08
The City of League City will host a Task Force Meeting on the Main Street Corridor Plan at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16 at the Butler Longhorn Museum, 1220 Coryell St.

The meeting is open to all residents, business owners and stakeholders along the Main Street corridor and in the Historic District.

Two public meetings have already been held. The feedback from those meetings has been compiled along with comments submitted to city staff, mayor and city council.

Citizen feedback, updates and presentations from the previous meetings are available online at www.leaguecity.com/mainstreet.

Staff has also compiled data regarding the economic and physical conditions of the area in order to help develop the guiding principles for the implementation plan.

This information will be presented at the meeting. It will enable the task force to establish common ground on ways to preserve and enhance Main Street and the Historic District.

For more information, contact Heidi Shannon at 281-554-1098 or heidi.shannon@leaguecity.com.
