St. John Hospital ready for this weekend’s Reindeer Run

Updated: 12.03.08
Put on your sneakers and get ready to run on Saturday, Dec. 6, at the 18th Annual Reindeer Run.

Start and finish is located on Space Park Drive in front of the St. John Professional Building.

The day will start off with a Kids K followed by the certified 5K Walk/Run.

At the finish line there will be music, food, a petting zoo, arts and crafts, games, prizes and more.

Rudy the Reindeer will be there and the big guy himself – Santa Claus! Register online at www.active.com or call 281-523-3028 for more information.

Proceeds go to the Christus St. John Fund, helping to achieve its mission “to extend the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.”

The nonprofit organization supports Christus St. John Hospital, the Point of Light Clinic, school-based clinics, the Gabriel Project, the Parish Nurse program and the Wee-See Child Vision Program. L

ast year’s Reindeer Run helped with the purchase of full-field digital mammography equipment, bringing the latest technology to Nassau Bay. Combined with M. D. Anderson’s Clinical Care Center on the hospital campus, the facility now provides a continuum of care for women with breast cancer.

Participation in Reindeer Run as a sponsor, runner or just bringing the family out for fun will ensure the success of the event, heighten awareness and raise funds to provide the very latest in medical advancements. Sponsorship opportunities are still available.

For more information, contact Lori Wilems at 281-352-8419.

Christus St. John Hospital is a faith-based, Catholic health care facility located in Nassau Bay
