Blotter - 12/11
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents recently:
- An officer was dispatched to make telephone contact with a complainant in reference to a possible phone scam. The complainant lives on Canyon Crest, in Conroe. She stated she had received an automated phone call from Texas Nation Card, informing her that her card had been breached. The recording asked for her VISA number to verify her identity. After hearing this, she hung up without divulging any personal information. She had later learned a neighbor also received a similar call. Several incidents were reported in the District One area (north and east of Conroe). This case has been referred to Detectives.
- An officer was dispatched to Austin Road, in Willis, in reference to Criminal Mischief. The resident advised his 2006 Ford F150 pickup was parked in front of a shed/barn that sits east of his house. All four tires had been slashed, driver’s window shattered, several “kick” dents to the driver’s side, rear quarter panel and front fender was “keyed” with, “the lake belongs to everyone not just you!!!” This case has been referred to the Detective Division and the complainant does wish to prosecute.
- An officer responded to an Attempt to Locate on I-45 northbound lanes in reference to a vehicle going extremely slow. The officer located the vehicle and attempted to pull it over by activating his emergency equipment. When the driver did not respond, he pulled alongside to get her attention. When that too did not work, he pulled in front of the vehicle and slowed to a stop. He approached the vehicle and made contact with the driver, who attempted to drive away, but the officer was able to open the door and another officer, with Pct. 3 Constables Office was able to put the vehicle in park. The driver was asked to step out of the vehicle. At this point the deputy noticed a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the driver. He also noticed that she had difficulty maintaining her balance, glassy bloodshot eyes and that she was in an advanced stage of pregnancy. At that time he contacted EMS to check by. He also noted that there was an infant in a car seat in the back of the vehicle. Both the driver and the infant were transported to the hospital for evaluation. After the evaluation was completed, the driver, WF24 was taken into custody for Driving While Intoxicated/Child on Board and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
- An officer was dispatched to the 24200 block of FM 1314 in reference to a disturbance call and possible family violence assault in progress. The Deputy was advised by the reportee that gun shots were heard from the upstairs apartment and a female yelling at a male not to choke her or smother her with a pillow. The Deputy made entry in the apartment and located a male and female and the handgun. The female had numerous abrasions and bite marks on her. Both subjects were detained. The Deputy observed in plain view marijuana in several places in the apartment. Both the 28 year old male and 26 year old female, each from Porter, were arrested at 6:30am. The male was charged with deadly conduct, aggravated assault family violence and possession of marijuana. The female was charged with possession of marijuana. Both were taken to jail.
