Community members are invited to support the Klein Title I schools by shopping at Barnes & Noble at Champions Village (5303 FM 1960 West) on Dec. 2. The store will offer a book fair to benefit the parent involvement program in Title I schools.
The store will contribute a percentage of every sale made with a special voucher to Title I schools. Vouchers will be available at Eiland Elemenary, Epps Island Elementary, Kaiser Elementary, McDougle Elementary, Nitsch Elementary, Klein Intermediate and Wunderlich Intermediate.
Title I schools will provide performances and musical groups beginning at 4 p.m. Also, principals and school staff will be reading stories to the children.

Hall enthusiastic about teaching Art
Michael Hall is the art teacher of three Klein Collins students who gained recognition in the Culture Shapers competition. His students earned a total of $4,250 in the recent competition.
Connie Laugen received $2,500; Jotja Bongers was awarded $1,500 and Chasity Redeo earned $250.
Hall moved to Texas to begin his career as an art teacher. After teaching in Aldine ISD for 15 years earning recognition as the Texas Art Education Association Secondary Art Educator of the Year in 2005, he transferred to Klein ISD.
At Klein Collins, Hall teaches three levels of photography, two AP classes, a beginning art class and three levels of painting classes.
Hall is the photographer of the Texas Art Educational Association. He has served as a Scholastic Event juror for seven years and the vice-president with responsibilities for Youth Art Month for TAEA.
