Burglars hit two Shenandoah restaurants

Published: 11.21.08
Two restaurants in Shenandoah were burglarized Nov. 14.

Shenandoah Police Department Lt. Bryan Carlisle said the first occurred in the early morning hours at Cafe Adobe, 18310 Interstate 45.

“It appears that the suspects attempted to steal a large flat panel TV from the Bar area, but were unsuccessful,” Carlisle said.

Responding officers discovered two cash registers in the parking lot behind the restaurant. The registers appear to have been stolen from restaurants on Highway 242 in Conroe, Carlisle said.

Around the same time that Cafe Adobe was entered, burglars also hit Hooters,

They broke out a window and entered the restaurant. Inside they stole two large, flat-screen televisions.

Surveillance video in the restaurant captured images of the two suspects. The African-American men were wearing “oversized white t-shirts and dark colored pants”, Carlisle said. One of the suspects was also wearing a plaid ball cap.

The two men were also recorded leaving in a white over grey Toyota 4-Runner with a sunroof.

Both incidents remain under investigation.
