Galloway Carnival is Dec. 13.


Santa and the missus will be on hand at this year's Galloway School Winter Carnival.

The Galloway School invites the community to our annual Winter Carnival on Saturday, Dec. 13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The school are located at 3200 W. Bay Area Blvd. in Friendswood.

This year’s theme is “Cowboy Christmas” featuring a mechanical bull and a playground with real snow. Don’t miss Photos and Visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, the North Pole Post Office (mail a letter to Santa and receive a reply), a giant 29-foot Slide, moonwalks, a rock wall, pony rides, hay ride, football ring throw, duck pond, Pin-the-Nose-On-Rudolph, a putting green, cake walk, lollipop pull, and tons of other games, prizes, and face painting.

There also are a number of raffle baskets, such as Texans Team Spirit basket, Astros Sports Basket, Legos Basket, Crayola/Art Basket, Game Night Basket, Explorers & Adventurers Basket, Play Dough Basket, Girls/Boys Dress-up Basket, and Barbie & Superheroes Basket. Raffle tickets are 2/$5 or 5/$10.

Tickets for games and attractions are 10 tickets for $5 or, if you purchase tickets by December 8, you can get 45 tickets for $20 or a wristband for unlimited access for $28! Tickets at the door will be 10 tickets for $5 and wristbands for $30. All games and attractions range from 1- 5 tickets. Food includes barbecue plates from Joe’s Bar-B-Que located in Alvin, which include a drink, 2 side dishes, and a huge homemade cookie for $7 (advanced) or $8 at the door (children’s alternative meal is available for those 10 and under for $4).


Sponsors are needed for the games and activities. All proceeds go directly to The Galloway School and its Parent Teacher Organization which are both 501(c)3 non-profit organizations.
