Livingston woman dies in submerged car
Cleveland Police Department is investigating the death of an 81-year-old female, Lena Vance of Livingston, who was found in her submerged vehicle off the US 59 feeder south of Cleveland.
Preliminary information showed that she may have accidentally driven her car off the road and into the water. Heavy rains overnight filled many ditches and creeks in the area.
“When police got to the scene, they found there was an elderly woman in the passenger seat. She had the keys with her and it appears she may have been trying to get out,” said Kelley.
An autopsy was performed on the victim, who reportedly was from Livingston. While the car was submerged, making it appear she may have died from drowning, reports say that she instead died of a heart attack.
