First Colony mall hosts ‘Santa Breakfast’

Santa Claus is inviting area youngsters for early-morning breakfast fun at First Colony Mall benefiting Fort Bend Toys for Tots.
The breakfast will be held at 9 a.m. on Dec. 2 in the Food Court and is sponsored by First Colony Mall and Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital.
Each child and parent who attends must have a ticket and is asked to donate a toy, valued at $10 or more.
Toys collected during the Santa Breakfast at First Colony Mall will be distributed to children who live in the area.
The holiday-kick-off event will include fun holiday activities, appearances by a number of costumed characters, including Topper the Giraffe from Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital and the Chick-fil-A cow.
Event goers also will have an opportunity to visit and take pictures with Santa, who is set to arrive at 9 a.m. via ambulance, escorted by the MHS Children’s Transport Team.
Members of the team, made up of medical specialists trained in the care of children, will be on hand to escort the public in tours of the ambulance.
“We have a fun morning planned for all the little ones who are available to come and visit,” MHS CEO Jim Brown said.
“And, to make certain that more children enjoy the holidays, we’re asking everyone who comes to bring a new, unwrapped toy that will be donated to the Fort Bend Toys for Tots.”
The benefit breakfast will end with a parade led by Santa through the shopping center to the Rudolph Studio near Dillard’s.
Santa will be on hand in his studio for visits through Dec. 24 to listen to area youngster’s holiday wish lists and pose for photos.
Tickets for the breakfast will be available beginning Nov. 25 at Customer Service near the Food Court.
The event will be limited to the first 200 guests, with tickets available the morning of the Breakfast with donation of a toy, if space remains.
First Colony Mall is located in Sugar Land at U.S. 59 South and Highway 6.
