By now, some people have probably already bought all of their Christmas and holiday presents for their children, spouses, family and friends. They have also probably found that “perfect” gift for the co-worker or neighbor that seems intent on buying something for everyone.
Instead of giving the old dried-up fruitcake that no one seems to want and will re-gift for others, there are many different gifts one can buy for acquaintances.
Candles and more
While a bag of tealight candles or a single candlestick has been a top choice in the past for acquaintances, this year, take it a step further. Browse a variety of stores for eclectic, creative and artsy candle holders, fragrance lamp gift sets or candle warmers. These gift ideas show recipients that more thought was put into the gift.
Gift Baskets
Toys, perfume and lotions are not the only things that come in gift baskets during the holiday season. While those items are often a hit with many people, sometimes it is a predictable gift. If the idea is to personalize a present, find out what that person likes or enjoys doing. For example, if the person is a wine and cheese connoisseur, a gift basket made of different types of cheese and wines might put a smile on the person’s face.

For those who want to spend a little more, but don’t know what to get someone, a gift certificate to a restaurant is sure to please those who enjoy eating out.
If the “right” gift card or certificates are not available, tickets to the movies, sports or other events are also great gifts that the person will enjoy.
Patriotic Theme
Whether people agree or disagree that everything is bigger in Texas, the one thing some believe is Texas is unique. For acquaintances who show enormous pride in the state as well as the United States of America, there are several gift shops and galleries in the area such as New Caney New Horizons that sell Texas-themed items. Longhorn antlers, clocks, ashtrays and more can be found at many different gift shops, stores and malls in the area.
