Chamber signing up participants for lighted Christmas parade

The Greater Cleveland Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual lighted Christmas parade on Satur day, Dec. 6 at 6 p.m. This year’s theme is “A Classic Christmas.”

The deadline for entries is 5 p.m. Dec. 2 and the fee is $25 per entry. All entries must fall into one of these classifications: float, high school band, high school drill team, marching unit, decorat ed car or truck, horse or oth er.

On the day of the parade, entries must be lined up be tween 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. at Christian Life Center (100 S. College) along Travis Street. Check-in times are strict, so all entrants are asked to be on time. Should you arrive later than 4 p.m., you will be al lowed in the parade, however the entry will not be judged in the contest. Winners will be announced before the pa rade.

No candy, gum, gifts or anything else can be thrown directly from your float; how ever, should you wish to give away such items, please use a buffer to walk alongside the flat to give or throw these items to parade onlookers.
