For the lover of international cuisine and décor, The Wing Café & Daiquiris restaurant located at 5200 Louetta Road offers its customers both.

Owner Quentin Hollis said he’s always wanted to open a restaurant that gives people something different.

“This is the second restaurant I’ve owned and I’ve always wanted to have a wing place,” Hollis said. “I have a passion for it. My restaurant has excellent customer service, great food and a warm, family-friendly environment.”

The entire restaurant – from the food to the atmosphere – has an international twist. With the menu boasting such wing flavors as jalapeno, Caribbean jerk and Hawaiian pineapple, one can expect a variety of tastes.

The walls are painted with colors of purple, gold and blues and there is even a Moroccan lounge for adults.

“(My wife and I) wanted to do an upscale wing place,” Hollis said. “I wanted the colors to give customers a fun and relaxing feel and we chose the colors that would do just that.”

Hollis said he looked at several potential locations before choosing the one on Louetta Road.

“There were a lot of restaurants in the area, but none that were doing what we planned on doing,” he said. “It’s on a nice corner in a nice plaza. We have a lot of traffic passing by from both directions.”

The Wing Café & Daiquiris has a total of seven high-definition televisions, a patio where people can dine, a digital jukebox with “music for every musical taste” and free Wi-Fi.

Hollis said he’s planning to have live music on weekends, Sunday brunch and catering in the future.

The restaurant now has happy hour every day from 4-7 p.m. and Monday night football with drink specials.

Restaurant hours are Sunday-Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Thursday from 11 a.m. to 12 midnight and Friday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.

Hollis is hosting a grand opening this Friday, Nov. 21 and continuing throughout the weekend. He said there will be drink specials and prize giveaways.
