City of Waller and Waller Area Chamber of Commerce prepare for holiday fun
WALLER - Everyone, mark your calendars!! The City of Waller and the Waller Area Chamber of Commerce have scheduled the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting, the Christmas Parade, and Christmas-In-The-Park festivities.
The theme this year will be “Peace on Earth-Honor Our Troops”.
The Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held in front of Waller City Hall on Monday, December 1st 2008 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The evening will include music, carolers, food, military, military equipment, and fun; however, the highlight of evening will be the decorating of the tree. Ornaments will be furnished by the Waller ISD students K – 2nd grades.
We would like to invite all our area military, either active or anyone who has previously served in any branch of the Armed Forces to come and be recognized the evening of December 1st for the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.
The annual Christmas Parade and Christmas-In-The-Park festivities will be on Saturday, December 6th.
The parade will leave from the Waller ISD Football Stadium (on Field Store Rd.) at 11:00 am; parade will end at the City Park. Awards will be given to the best entries in the parade. There will be arts and crafts, and refreshments at the Park. Santa Clause will be at the Park for pictures!
If you would like to be in the parade or have a booth in the park, entry forms can be picked up at Waller City Hall or Waller Area Chamber of Commerce. There is no charge!
