Kids dress in ‘Christmas best’ to compete in pageant

The 33rd Annual Little Mister and Miss Tomball Contest was held on Nov. 8 in the Lone Star College Tomball Theater, 30555 SH 249.
“This contest is all about kids and their self-esteem,” said Odenna Favorite, Cute Kids-Sassy Kids clothing boutique owner and sponsor of the contest since 1998. “We want natural looking kids dressed in their Christmas best clothes. We do not permit wearing of make-up or expensive gowns. We want the experience to be fun for the kids and their families, not a burden.”
According to Favorite, each child won one trophy from several contest areas including; Photogenic, Best Hair, Prettiest Eyes, Personality, and Pajama categories.
There were three age group categories staring with the Little Baby Mister and Miss Tomball contestant’s ages 0 to 24-months-old, Tiny Mister and Miss Tomball contestant’s ages 2 to 4-years-old, and Little Mister and Miss Tomball contestant’s ages 5 to 7-years-old.
Chloe Dietz is the winner of the 2009 Little Baby Miss Tomball Contest with Kinsleigh Ferguson as first runner-up and Hayleigh Robinson as second runner-up.
Kooper Hodge is the winner of 2009 Little Baby Mister Tomball Contest with Jonathon Albert as first runner-up, and Caden Jahnke as second runner-up.
Hope Vanderburg is the 2009 winner of the Tiny Miss Tomball Contest with Aivree Amburgey as first runner-up, and Tabitha Ezzelle as second runner-up.
Thomas Ezzelle is the 2009 winner of the Tiny Mister Tomball Contest with Kaiden Rich as first runner-up, and Ethan Joy as second runner-up.
Nikki Conner is the 2009 winner of the Little Miss Tomball Contest with Averie Bowes as first runner-up, and Mattie Sootoo as second runner-up.
Caleb Smith is the winner of the 2009 Little Mister Tomball Contest with Chase Mora as first runner-up, and Logan Jahnke as second runner-up.
The Little Miss and Mister Tomball Contest was formerly sponsored by the Tomball Chamber of Commerce in 1975, according to Favorite.
