By VANESA BRASHIER
Firefighters from Cleveland, Tarkington and Splendora fire departments suited up to fight an oil tank fire on Wednesday some time around 9 a.m.
The fire occurred in a remote site off CR 2243. The land, said to be owned by the American Forestry Service and leased to hunters, also was the location of a oil collection system reportedly operated by Kinder-Morgan.
Kinder-Morgan representatives arrived around 10:30 a.m. to help firefighters with the fire investigation.
