The official opening of Tomball’s newest charitable ministry, Pregnancy Education and Resource Center, or PERC, is to be celebrated with a ribbon cutting by Tomball Mayor Gretchen Fagan on Tuesday, Dec. 2.

The ceremony is to be at noon followed by an open house with facility tours until 6 p.m. The public is welcome and invited to witness the ribbon cutting and meet members of the center’s staff throughout the afternoon. Refreshments will be available.

The PERC board chairman, Admiral Al Kelln, will introduce Pastor Don White who will dedicate the charitable ministry. Fagan and PERC Executive Director Stacy Lozano will be introduced and conduct the symbolic ribbon cutting and announce that PERC is officially open.

The mission of PERC is to mentor, educate and assist women with unplanned pregnancies, to meet family needs and equip, train and encourage family values based on Christian principles.

It is expected that several city, state and federal officials will attend and tour the center. All of the area church leaders have been invited and they and their staff are warmly welcomed.

PERC is located in Village Square Center at 934 W. Main St., which is across from the CVS pharmacy in Tomball.

Requests for speakers to better explain the PERC mission and its needs can be directed to Lozano at (832) 559-7817.
