A woman was arrested yesterday after her child’s bus driver reported that the woman assaulted her, according to officials.
The woman was unhappy because the Cy-Fair ISD bus driver reportedly disciplined her 14-year-old daughter, a student of Thornton Middle School. Precinct 4 Captain Paul Staton said the incident occurred after school at the girl’s bus stop.
“The defendant came on to the bus and they exchanged words,” Staton said. “The bus driver told her to leave, which she did, but as the defendant was getting off of the bus and the bus driver started to close the doors, the defendant came back on the bus and basically used fists, trying to strike her in the face.”
Staton said the bus driver, who is seven months pregnant, instinctively defended herself, preventing injury.
He said it is unknown why the daughter was disciplined by the bus driver.
Michelle Adams, 32, was charged with a Class A misdemeanor assault. The bus driver didn’t suffer any bodily injury as a result of the attack.
