Friendswood Police Activity November 1 through 9, 2008
Narcotics
November 6 (11:32 p.m.) - A 24-year-old Friendswood woman was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. The woman had been brought to jail for an outstanding Probation violation warrant. During the booking process she found to be in possession of hydrocodone without a prescription.
November 5 (9:19 a.m.) – A 21-year-old Houston man was charged with Possession of Marijuana. A witness reported to police that the man was smoking marijuana while driving. He was located in the 200 block of E. Parkwood. He admitted to having marijuana in the car.
November 5 (6:44 a.m.) _ A 24-year-old Heritage Park man was charged with Possession of Marijuana after he was stopped for a traffic violation in the 100 block of Whispering Pines. He was found to be driving without a license and was detained. During a search incident to arrest officers found marijuana in his vehicle.
November 5 (3:33 a.m.) _ A 29-year-old Houston man was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance after he was stopped for a traffic violation in the 1800 block of W. Parkwood. During a search the man was found to be in possession of Xanex without a prescription. He was also found to have an invalid driver's license.
November 4 (11:07 p.m.) – A 25-year-old Cypress man was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance after he was stopped for a traffic violation in the 1500 block of FM 528. He allowed officers to search his vehicle, and Xanex, Soma, and Adderall were found along with marijuana and cocaine.
November 2 (1:37 a.m.) – A n 18-year-old Friendswood man was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance after he was reported to be a possibly intoxicated driver. He was found in the 700 block of Balmoral Court in Regency Estates subdivision. He exhibited signs of intoxication and was detained. During a search of the vehicle, officers located a vial of liquid opium.
November 1 (11:13 p.m.) – AA 29-year-old Rosharon woman was charged with Possession of a Dangerous Drug after she was stopped for a traffic violation in the 700 block of W. Edgewood. She allowed officers to search her vehicle. Officers located Soma and Prozac without a prescription.
Driving While Intoxicated
November 9 (3:45 a.m.) – A 49-year-old Friendswood man was charged with DWI after he was stopped for a traffic violation in the 200 block of W. Parkwood. He failed a field sobriety test and refused to submit to a breath test.
November 8 (12:34 a.m.) – A 26-year-old Girardville, PA, man was charged with DWI after he was stopped for a traffic violation in the 400 block of E. Parkwood. He failed a field sobriety test and was transported to League City Police Department for a breath test. He registered .165 on the breath test.
November 4 (10:40 a.m.) – A 45-year-old Houston man was charged with DWI. He was reported as a possibly intoxicated driver on FM 2351, and then stopped by in the 4100 block of FM 2351. He failed a field sobriety test and refused to submit to a breath test.
November 2 (8:26 a.m.) – A 43-year-old League City man was charged with DWI. The man was observed driving erratically and was stopped in the 300 block of W. Parkwood. He refused to submit to a field sobriety test and a breath test. A friend pulled up while officers were speaking with the man. The friend, A 42-year-old League City woman, also displayed signs of intoxication. She failed a field sobriety test and was taken to Pasadena Police Department for a breath test. She registered .180 on the breath test and was subsequently charged with DWI.
November 1 (7:55 a.m.) _ A 31-year-old Friendswood man was charged with DWI. He was observed driving erratically on Wandering Trail near FM 2351. He failed a field sobriety test and a drug recognition exam. He provided samples for testing.
Theft
November 7 (3:21 p.m.) – A 16-foot white Cary enclosed trailer was reported stolen from Mary Queen Catholic Church, 606 Cedarwood Dr. "Mary Queen Catholic Church" painted in blue on the white trailer. The trailer was taken sometime between 6:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Miscellaneous
November 6 (10:20 a.m.) – A 19-year-old League City man was charged with Failure to Identify - Fugitive. He was stopped in the 16700 block of Tibet for a pedalcycle violation. He provided officers with a false name but later provided officers with his true identity. The man was found to have an outstanding local traffic warrant.
November 5 (9:04 p.m.) – A 30-year-old Friendswood man was charged with Failure to Identify – Fugitive after he was stopped for a traffic violation in the 500 block of N. Friendswood and provided officers with a false name. When he admitted his real name, officers found him to have a suspended driver's license and a warrant for Indecent Exposure through Harris County.
November 5 (1.56 a.m.) – A 20-year-old Houston man was charged with Failure to Identify – Fugitive after he was stopped for a traffic violation in the 200 block of E. Edgewood. He provided officers with a false name, but police were able to find his true identity in a police database. He was found to have outstanding warrants through South Houston Police.
