Cy Woods senior defensive lineman Anthony Villamagna earned the Touchdown Club of Houston Scholar Athlete runner-up award on Wednesday.

Villamagna, a defensive starter for the Wildcats (6-2), is a three-time class president at the school. He’ll receive a $1,250 for finishing second (of 25 finalists) to Strake Jesuit senior Brett Provenzano.

“It’s great recognition for the school and quite an honor for Anthony,” Cy Woods coach David Jones said. “He represents the school extremely well.”
