From the files of the Pearland Police Department, Nov. 10 to Nov. 16, 2008.
Burglary of a Building
Nov. 10 – Two unknown suspects burglarized a store located in the 3200 block of Broadway.
Nov. 11 – An unknown suspect kicked in the front door of a home under construction in the 3200 block of Cactus Heights and stole the door itself.
Nov. 12 – Two unknown suspects used a sledge hammer to shatter the door glass and force entry into a store in the 4700 block of Orange. The suspects stole tobacco products and lottery tickets.
Nov. 15 – A known suspect was found burglarizing a business located in the 1600 block of Main. When police attempted to confront the suspect, he proceeded to flee on foot. After a brief foot chase, the suspect was tased and taken into custody. It was later determined that the suspect wanted to steal power tools.
Burglary of a Habitation
Nov. 12 – Unknown suspects forced entry into an apartment in the 2800 block of Oak and stole several items, including a TV, clothes, purses and jewelry.
Nov. 14 – A house was burglarized in the 3400 block of Monarch Meadows. Firearms, jewelry and a flat screen TV were stolen.
Burglary of a Vehicle
Nov. 10 – A suspect forced entry into three vehicles and entered one vehicle without force, stealing four stereos and one amplifier and causing significant damage to each of the vehicles consoles in the 3700 block of Main.
Nov. 12 – A suspect entered a vehicle via an unlocked door and stole a navigation system in the 1400 block of Pinewood.
Nov. 12 – An unknown suspect smashed the complainant’s driver’s side window with an unknown object and removed a blackberry cell phone and GPS system in the 3700 block of Pine Tree.
Nov. 14 – An unknown suspect threw a brick through a driver side window in the 2700 block of Brompton. The suspect removed a GPS system from the vehicle.
Theft
Nov. 10 – A complainant state that his handgun, a chrome Colt 1911 was stolen from his home in the 1300 block of Romero.
Nov. 10 – Unknown suspects stole a purse containing the victim’s credit cards in the 12300 block of Shady Brook on Oct. 24 and used them on Oct. 27 without the victim’s permission.
Nov. 11 – A known suspect was caught shoplifting at Bass Pro Shops in Pearland. He tried to steal two knives, a pair of sunglasses and a Bass Pro T-shirt. Loss Prevention Officers caught the man as he was exiting the store after passing all points of sale.
Missing Person
Nov. 10 – A 17 year old white female left her residence in the 1900 block of Plum Falls and has not returned.
Possession of Marijuana
Nov. 10 – A known suspect was found to be in possession of a five marijuana plants and drug paraphernalia while at his residence in the 4800 block of Plum.
Terroristic Threat
Nov. 11 – A known suspect allegedly threatened to burn her ex-husband’s current girlfriend’s house down in the 3400 block of Windcrest.
Welfare Concern
Nov. 12 – The suspect struck the victim while the victim was recovering from day surgery at the hospital in the 2400 block of Frances.
Possession of Controlled Substance
Nov. 12 – A man was driving a silver Cadillac and disregarded a red light at O’Day and Broadway. The subject refused consent to search and resisted search and arrest. Crack cocaine was located inside.
Animal Complaint/Bite
Nov. 12 – A known juvenile was bitten and scratched by a large black dog in the 2900 block of Windemere. The dog was taken into custody by animal control. The child suffered minor injuries, and the mother later transported him to receive medical care.
Aggravated Assault
Nov. 14 – A 23-year-old man was struck several times in the face and body, causing lacerations. The incident occurred in the 9700 block of Broadway.
Reckless damage/destruction
Nov. 16 – Juveniles shooting a pellet pistol accidentally shattered the window of a resident located within the 100 block of Hampton Drive.
