Morrow discusses history of Ellington

At the Nov. 20 Clear Lake Association of Senior Programs (CLASP) “Visions in Our Midst” presentation, Kathryn Morrow will be focusing on the history of Ellington Field. Morrow, author of “Defender of America’s Gulf Coast, a History of Ellington Field, Texas, 1917-2007,” is an historian and author who is currently researching topics for the Greater Houston Preservation Alliance and the Houston Metropolitan Research Center.

“Visions in our Midst” takes place in UH-Clear Lake Bayou Building’s Garden Room 1510. The event runs from 5:30–7 p.m. and is open to the entire community free of charge. For more information, call Office of Alumni and Community Relations, 281-283-2021.

Scientific works focus of Science Seminar Series

Learn more about the entanglement of quantum states as the University of Houston-Clear Lake Science Seminar series continues Nov. 21. These seminars were created by the division of natural sciences to introduce participants to scientists and their works as well as discuss new areas of scientific research. UH-Clear Lake Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics Samina Masood will make the presentation.
