Texas Recycles Day expands collection
The theme of this year’s Texas Recycles Day is “Recycling with the Stars,” and Keep Pearland Beautiful will be celebrating Texas Recycles Day at the Stella Roberts Recycling Center located at 5800 Magnolia.
KPB is asking Pearland residents to help celebrate recycling in Pearland. In addition to the items the Stella Roberts Recycling Center normally accepts, residents are asked to bring:
• ON NOVEMBER 15 ONLY, THE RECYCLING CENTER WILL BE ACCEPTING #3, #4, #5, #6 AND #7 PLASTICS.
• ON NOVEMBER 15 ONLY, THE RECYCLING CENTER WILL BE ACCEPTING USED PRESCRIPTION AND MEDICINE BOTTLES. PLEASE REMOVE LABELS CONTAINING PERSONAL INFORMATION.
The Adult Reading Center would appreciate your gently used books.
The Pearland Lions Club would like to have your gently used eye glasses to be recycled.
Pearland Animal Shelter would appreciate your gently used or new collars, leashes, toys, towels and blankets.
Also, please bring your gently used children’s shoes of all types to be donated to the Mission School at Carboneras, Mexico. Please tie the shoes together.
Keep Pearland Beautiful volunteers will be on hand to help unload your car and give away special gifts to all visitors to the Center on November 15. For more information about the event, please call KPB at 281-652-1659 or check out our website www.keeppearlandbeautiful.org .
