Traffic was backed up on Cartwright Road in Missouri City for more than half an hour following an auto-pedestrian accident on yesterday.

The accident occurred on Nov. 13 at 4:57 during rush hour traffic in the area.

According to the police report, a truck traveling along the road, failed to yield the right-of-way to a pedestrian, striking the person with the vehicle.

A long line of cars was forced to wait as Missouri City Police responded to the scene, along with an emergency fire department vehicle.

The pedestrian was transported to Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital and treated for what was described in the police report as a “non-capacitating” injury, according to Sgt. Dwayne Williams of the Missouri City Police Department.
