Driver returns to settle damages; witness goes to hospital:



  • On Oct. 29 a Magnolia Police Department Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of Magnolia Boulevard concerning criminal mischief. The officer found a vehicle had rolled out of control, backwards and struck a building owned by Magnolia City Councilman David Sutherland. The driver left the scene and his identity was later given by a witness at the Family Diner who witnessed the accident. The driver, a man from Hockley, was located and returned to the scene where he gave information for the accident report and came to an agreement with Sutherland concerning repair of the building. The witness became ill at the scene, had a minor seizure and was taken to Tomball Regional Hospital.




Burglary of a building:



  • On Nov. 3 a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office District 4 deputy was dispatched to Village Ridge in reference to burglary of a building. The complainant stated numerous structural items had been stolen from his garage. Included in the items were a variety of tiles, Hardiboards, bags of Thinset, and pan liners. The value of the stolen items was estimated to be $3,100. This case was referred to Criminal Investigations Division detectives.




Burglary of a vehicle:



  • On Oct. 29 a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office District 4 deputy was dispatched to Rollingwood in reference to burglary of a vehicle. The complainant stated he had accidentally driven into a ditch at a friend’s house on Oct. 28. His car was stuck and it was dark so he got a ride home with the intentions of having a family member take him back the next day to get the car. When he returned on the following day he discovered someone had busted the driver’s side window out. A number of items were stolen from the damaged vehicle for a total loss of $1,283, including the cost to replace window. The report was completed and the case was referred to CID-detectives.


  • On Oct. 30 two Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office District 4 deputies were dispatched to Samantha Lane in reference to burglary of a motor vehicle. When they arrived they met with the complainant who reported someone had stolen a brown soft-sided leather Samsonite computer bag which contained a Sony laptop, a pin drive, and IRS tax information. The dollar loss was estimated at $1,073. This case was referred to CID-detectives.


  • On Nov. 1 a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office District 4 deputy was dispatched to Crestwater Boulevard in reference to burglary of a vehicle. The complainant stated the doors to the vehicle had been left unlocked. She advised that $50 cash was taken from the center console. Two cameras, one Canon digital valued at $269 and one Canon movie camera valued at $680 were taken from the back seat. This case was referred to CID-detectives.




Runaway:



  • On Oct. 28 two Magnolia Police Department officers went to the 18600 block of Buddy Riley Boulevard concerning a call of a possible runaway. The officer found a 15-year-old female who was reported as a Montgomery County runaway. The girl was recovered and take to the juvenile detention center in Conroe without incident.




Possession:



  • On Nov. 1 a Magnolia Police Department officer observed a vehicle parked in a handicap parking space in the 18600 block of FM 1488. The vehicle did not have a handicap parking placard visible and the officer contacted the driver. The driver, a man, 20, of Willis was arrested for possession of marijuana, less than two ounces and taken to the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe.




Theft:



  • On Oct. 28 a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office District 4 deputy was dispatched to Hardin Store Road in reference to a theft. The complainant stated someone had stolen a red Honda gas generator from his back porch. The generator had been purchased by the complainant on Aug. 27 at the cost of $3,995 The case was referred to CID-detectives.


  • On Oct. 30 a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office District 4 deputy was dispatched to Turtle Dove in reference to a theft. The complainant reported a theft of his trailer, which he had left parked on the side of the road due to a blown out tire. All information was obtained, a case number issued, and trailer entered as stolen. This case was referred to the CID-auto theft task force.


  • On Oct. 28 a Magnolia Police Department officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 170000 block of FM 1488. A woman passenger, 38, of Magnolia was found to have an active warrant for theft of $50 to $500 in Montgomery County. She was arrested and taken to the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe.




Theft of a vehicle:



  • On Nov. 1 two Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office District 4 deputies were dispatched to Sheppard Street in Pinehurst regarding theft of a vehicle. The complainant stated when she awoke at 6 a.m. she discovered her vehicle was missing from her driveway. She also found her keys missing. A report was taken, a case number issued, and the 2008 Toyota Tundra 2-door truck was entered into the Texas Crime Information Center/National Crime Information Center systems. This case was referred to CID-auto theft task force.
