Police Report

Oct. 10

At approximately 12:30 a.m. an MVPD officer initiated a traffic stop in the 11500 block of Memorial Drive on a vehicle parked in the roadway. The male driver, a Pearland resident, was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

At approximately 1 a.m. MVPD officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Blalock in reference to a disturbance. An investigation showed no signs of violence had occurred, but a male Piney Point resident was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

A resident in the 11200 block of Hermosa Court reported that several accounts were established at banks without his permission.


Oct. 11

At approximately 3 a.m. an MVPD officer initiated a traffic stop in the 11500 block of Memorial Drive because a vehicle was parked in the roadway. The male driver, a Houston resident, was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

At approximately 7:30 p.m. an MVPD officer initiated a traffic stop in the 600 block of Voss for no license plates. The male driver, a Houston resident, was arrested for no driver’s license, no insurance and no license plates.

At approximately 8:30 p.m. a resident in the 11000 block of South Country Squire called 911 in reference to a loud noise in her house. Upon arrival of the officers it was determined that someone had taken a glass window pane out of a window and entered the residence. No one was located in the area. One ring was reported to be taken.

Oct. 12

At approximately 8 a.m. a resident in the 700 block of Marchmont reported a burglary of their residence the night before. Entry was made by prying open a window in the office. A firearm, cash, jewelry and serving pieces were reported missing.

At approximately 10 p.m. an MVPD officer initiated a traffic stop in the 300 block of Gessner for an expired registration. The female driver, a Houston resident, was arrested for outstanding traffic warrants through the Harris County Precinct 5 Constables Office and possession of marijuana.

Oct. 13

Spring Valley Village Police responded to a report of a theft in the 1300 block of Neeley Drive. The victim advised that she had left her purse in her unlocked vehicle after parking on the street. Minutes later, two male suspects in a Chevrolet Suburban or Tahoe stopped next to her vehicle and stole her purse and its contents from the car. The suspects then fled the area in the SUV. Investigators are attempting to locate the vehicle and identify its occupants based on a license plate number provided by the victim and a witness.

A business in the 8300 block of the Katy Freeway reported that sometime during the weekend someone entered the building and took tools from the location.

Oct. 15

At approximately 9:30 a.m. an officer initiated a traffic stop in the 8500 block of San Felipe for an expired registration. The male driver, a Houston resident, was arrested for outstanding traffic warrants through the Harris County Precinct 5 Constables Office.

A resident in the 11300 block of Surrey Oaks reported that sometime during the night two tires on his vehicle were cut.

At approximately 6:30 p.m. a resident in the 11100 block of Greenbay reported that sometime in the last three hours someone had broken out a window next to the front door. Nothing appeared to have been missing from the residence.

Oct. 16

A patrolman observed an unauthorized person at a recently foreclosed residence. An investigation showed that the previous owner had been issued a criminal trespass warning when evicted. The unauthorized person was identified as the previous owner of the residence. The previous owner was arrested for criminal trespass.

At approximately 8:50 hrs a resident in the 300 block of Gentilly reported observing a male trying to open the rear door of the residence. No other description is available and officers were unable to locate a suspect.
