Golf tourney benefits Huffman Stars
The annual Special Olympics Golf Tournament will be played Oct. 24, at Newport Golf Club in Crosby. Registration for the four-player scramble is scheduled for noon to 1 p.m., followed by shotgun start. Sign-up fee of $65 per player includes cart, green fees, lunch, dinner, and beverages on the course. Sponsorships are available at $1,000, $500, $350, and $250. Hole sponsors and goody bag donations are needed. Proceeds benefit the Huffman Stars, a local Special Olympics team.
