Free food and plenty of fun at Cy-Fest Oct. 11

Lone Star College-CyFair will be hosting the fourth annual Cy-Fest this Saturday, Oct. 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the campus located at 9191 Barker Cypress Road.

It’s a community day of free food, festivities and family fun for all ages.

This event, the college’s annual gift to the Cy-Fair area community, draws thousands of smiling faces. As part of the college’s five-year anniversary celebration Radio Disney will be on the campus this year.

There will be refreshments; children’s musical entertainment and activities, games, train, hayride, pony carousel, crafts and moonwalks; face painting; a fire truck; juggler; pony carousel; duck races; pumpkin painting patch and trick or treat station; petting zoo; and a community information zone. Among the new activities this year are Guitar Hero Wars, Laser Tag and Mechanical Surfboard. All food and activities are while supplies last.

The 2008 Cy-Fest event sponsors are Amegy Bank, Bridgeland, Copperfield Women’s Club, Costo Wholesale, Cypress Vineyard, Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union, Cy-Fair Magazine, Cy-Fair Urgent Care Center , Lone Star College-CyFair Friends of the Library, H-E-B Cypress Market, Methodist Willowbrook Hospital, Pate Engineers, Inc., The Sun Papers, John Eagle Honda of Houston, Kids Directory, Leader Newspaper, Signtex Imaging, Sterling Bank, Towne Lake - A Caldwell Community and University of Houston – Downtown.
