San Jacinto College Foundation welcomes new board members

The San Jacinto College Foundation has announced the addition of five members to its Board of Directors.
The SJC Foundation Board of Directors is composed of persons who represent positive community leadership, and who have expressed an interest and desire to use their influence on behalf of the College through the Foundation. The newest members to the board are Ronald P. Holt, Roy Mease, Jess Fields, Mike Mills and Jaime A. Harris.
“The Foundation is fortunate to be able to add these new members to our already incredible Board,” said Susan Arscott, vice president for resource development at San Jacinto College.
Holt is from La Porte. He is the president of Centrifuge Repair & Engineering, Inc., a specialized engineering group focusing on the fields of metallurgy, machining, heat-treating, X-ray, plating, forging and casting.
Mease is a partner in the law firm Roy Mease and Associates in Pasadena, and is active in the Pasadena Livestock Show and Rodeo.
Fields is CEO and president of Rosewood Funeral Homes in Houston and Pasadena. He is the immediate past president of the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce and is also involved as a board member with The Rose, Pasadena Education Foundation, Texas Invitational McDonald Basketball Tournament, and is a member of the Board of Regents of the Texas Chiropractic College. Most recently he was appointed by Texas Gov. Rick Perry to serve on the Texas Funeral Services Commission.
Mills is a business development manager with Mundy Service Corporation in Houston. Mundy provides temporary and permanent workers for a variety of industrial operations, from loading, unloading and packaging, to railroad operations, security, warehousing and janitorial.
Finally, Harris is a partner in J.A. Harris Trucking, Inc., in Houston. J.A. Harris Trucking is an interstate trucking company specializing in the flatbed industry since 2004. Harris and his business partner, Roger Gonzalez, are both graduates of San Jacinto College’s diesel technology program.
