The Highland Cyclones traveled to Steamboat Springs Colorado in July to compete in the 11 years old and under Triple Crown World Series. Forty two-teams from all over the U.S. went through qualifying tournaments to reach the pinnacle of the 2008 season and competed very well with a team batting average of .525, and making it to the final three before losing to San Diego 6-3.

The winner advanced on to play for the CHAMPIONSHIP. The Cyclones are a select 11 and under team comprised of boys from the local area who represented the area well. They played hard and never gave up, winning six games before being eliminated. Congratulations to this fine group of young men for a great season.
