Kazmir to pitch in playoffs

Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Scott Kazmir, a Cy Falls graduate, will take the mound in Game 2 of the Rays’ American League Divisional Series against the Chicago White Sox on Friday at the Tropicana Field in Florida.
The 24-year-old southpaw is 12-8 with a 3.49 ERA, 166 strikeouts and 70 walks.
Kazmir, in his third season with the team, led the Rays to their first-ever American League East championship and first postseason berth.
