Students health: UIL Medical Advisory body meets

AUSTIN – The Medical Advisory Committee of the University Interscholastic League, serving as a permanent advisory committee to the UIL Legislative Council, will meet Sunday, October 5 at 9 a.m. at the AT&T Conference Center in Austin.

The Committee will address concerns and issues regarding students¹ health and safety. Any recommendations from the Committee must be approved by the UIL Legislative Council and the Commissioner of Education before becoming policy.

The Committee will discuss several important issues including the following:

1. Steroid Testing Update


2. Injury Update

3. Lightning Safety

4. National Federation Sports Medicine Committee Update

5. UIL Medical Advisory Committee Survey

The Medical Advisory Committee Meeting is an open meeting, and all interested parties are welcome to attend.
