Indian football on top during the break from Ike

The Cleveland Indians are in a great position with everything going their way so far. They are 2-0 as they have been playing a step above competition, which in the end has left their opponents scoreless.
Cleveland’s dominance has been racking up a lot of attention from all district teams and furthermore, parents, fellow students and high school football fans.
The Indians last game was on Sept. 5 against Bryan Rudder High School, which turned out to be a a slaughter victory for the Indians in every category.
Hurricane Ike has made the Indians put their dominance to rest as they missed the next two games against Huntington and Little Cypress-Mauriceville High Schools. Despite this, it has not slowed the Indians down as this determined and focused team has a appetite to win with Coach Ricky Tullos being the master chef cooking in the the kitchen.
Tullos’ ingredient for success is defined by one word which is win. These meals have even been served over the break by practicing at 10 a.m.
“We have had about 85 percent of our players show up. Our practices have been designed to keep our players in shape,” Tullos said.
Although the schedule for upcoming games is in the air, Tullos’ Indians will be prepared, whether they have to re-schedule the cancelled Huntington and Little Cypress Mauriceville games or just continue on going into district.
Cleveland has a bye week this week as the other schools in district have their first meetings with one another in district play.
Cleveland’s bye week may be scheduled with a non-district game that Coach Tullos is trying to arrange. Any updated information about this game will be posted immediately on the website at www.clevelandadvocate.com.
